New Gigs lined up:

Matt Bianco live at The Hague: A review.

Steve P. from S. near L. gives us his gist from the gig:

Set List :

Dancing In The Street
Good Times
A Day In Your Life
Sunshine Day
Summer Samba
Half a Minute
Another Time Another Place
Whose Side Are You On
Yeh Yeh
Cha Cha Cuba
Don’t Blame It On That Girl
Wap Bam Boogie
Lost In You

Festival, so no encore.

The set was very well received by the audience, with a very good set
list balance that included the well known songs from the first 3
albums when MB released albums in Europe and would be known to
the ‘Festival Fan’, together with a selection from the later years
for the ‘MB Fan’.

Wap Bam Boogie went down fantastically well with tremendous interplay
with the audience. Other highlights for me were Good Times, Cha Cha
Cuba, and a truly dazzling keyboard solo by Mark Fisher in Lost In
You.

The band did very will in difficult circumstances due to poor
monitoring and were not as impacted as Level 42 ! Front of house
sounded great after 20 minutes (well done Andy!)

Thanks to Mark Fisher for the great view that we had, and thanks to
Dirk and co for the great beach bar and good company in glorious
sunshine in the afternoon, and a final thanks to The Hague Jazz
Festival for putting on a truly wonderful event !

Matt Bianco live, tonight!

Afternoon all. Here in Den Haag the temperatures are balmy, the music so far has been great, and the anticipation is rising before the first Matt Bianco gig in the Reilly/Fisher incarnation for some time here in continental Europe. I will be giving updates from the gig via my Twitter account, so you can be as close to the action as possible. If you’re in Den Haag, this way you’ll be able to find out where we (the MB contingent) hang out.See you tonight, Dirk
